In Banjarsengon, in Patrang district of Jember Regency, on the island of Java, Indonesia, a tree fell on Sriti Street at about half past two in the morning on 6 February 2026.

Its trunk was about 40 centimetres around. It blocked the road almost completely, so that neither bikes nor cars could pass, and it brought down the state electricity company's power line.

The regency's disaster agency got word at 6:10 a.m. A rapid-response team came out and, working carefully around the line, cut up the tree and cleared it. The road was open again at 6:48 a.m. No one was hurt and no buildings were damaged.

Heavy rain and strong wind over the previous days, which had softened the ground, were given as the cause.
