Munich's transit authority auctioned off items left behind on the subway and buses and not claimed at the lost-property office within six months.

The auction was held on 25 June 2025, as an online live stream.

Among the lots were cameras, headphones, laptops, jewellery, clothing, shoes, bicycles, wireless earbuds, and 'surprise' bags and suitcases whose contents were unknown. There were also a pair of handcuffs and a banknote counter.

The auctioneer's pick of the lot was a treasure chest full of coins and notes from many countries.

Two brand-new toilet seats were also on offer. The starting price was five euros.

All were items whose owners had not come forward within the set period.
