In Aktobe, Kazakhstan, police found 67 poppy plants containing narcotic substances growing on a garden plot belonging to a 69-year-old pensioner.
Police opened an investigation on suspicion of illegal cultivation of plants containing narcotic or psychotropic substances and sent the seized plants for forensic examination.
