アンドラのラ・マサナ教区は、公共空間における犬の排せつ物対策を強化し、飼い主向けの広報キャンペーンを行った後に取り締まりを本格化させた。
条例は、犬の尿を薄めるための水入りボトルの携帯を飼い主に義務付けている。この違反やリード未装着、犬の逃走などで約15件の罰金が科された。
別途、糞の未処理については、犬のDNA登録（遺伝子型判定）制度を通じて約30件の罰金が科された。教区に登録された犬は1520頭で前年より約100頭増え、8割超が遺伝子型登録済みだという。
副執政官ロジェ・フィテ氏は「監視強化の前に飼い主への周知キャンペーンを行った」と述べ、共存の維持を強調した。教区は主要な通りでの糞の"顕著な減少"を確認したとしている。
La Massana parish in Andorra stepped up enforcement of public-space dog waste rules after first running an information campaign for owners.
The ordinance requires owners to carry a bottle of water to dilute dog urine. About 15 fines were issued for failing to do so, along with violations like walking dogs off-leash or letting them escape.
Separately, roughly 30 fines were issued for not picking up dog feces, enforced through a canine genotyping (DNA) registry. The parish counts 1,520 registered dogs, about 100 more than the previous year, with over 80% genotyped.
Deputy consul Roger Fité said an awareness campaign preceded the tougher surveillance, framing it as a matter of preserving coexistence. The parish reports a "significant reduction" of dog waste on main streets, though isolated areas remain a problem.
